Selecting a plan - payment options

FontsLive was adapted to suit the budget and web traffic for any web developer.

FontsLive is an annual subscription web fonts service. We offer a free 30 day trial, so you can see how easy it is to implement web fonts.

We offer both a Hosting Service and for large websites we have a Self Host option. Both plans priced on a per font basis, and are measured by pageviews.

Web fonts in your account can be used with an unlimited number of URLs. Subdomains are also supported at no extra charge.

Can I host the fonts on my servers?

Yes, we offer a Self-Hosting option to larger sites with more than 600k unique visitors a month. While FontsLive can handle large sites, our experience so far has been that most large sites want to control all their site assets. The cost for our Self-Hosting plan is the same as the Enterprise level. Contact us for more information on our self-hosting custom web fonts option.

What happens if my traffic increases and I exceed my allocated pageviews?

If you did have a major spike, we reserve the right to upgrade you to the next plan if you exceed your allocation by 25%. If you only exceed it by 20% no worries, no extra charge. We will notify you if you use 80% of your pageviews in a month. And again at 100%. If your site consistently exceeded the pageviews allocation by 20% a month, then we would contact you to discuss an to the next service level. Our goal is to keep things easy without any hidden or surprise fees.

Things to consider when choosing a font

The FontsLive catalog is organized into two main style categories: Headline Fonts and Text Fonts. Headline fonts look best at 20 pixels or larger and text fonts contain families with four common styles (regular, italic, bold, bold italic).

The annual license fee for each font is determined by the size of your website (measured in unique visitors/month) and number of website domains the fonts will be used on.

What browsers are supported?

Note: a font will display differently across platforms and browsers. There are differences in the font rendering software at both the OS and application level. Some differences are significant and others are more nuanced. Each FontsLive font was tested with this in mind.
